What is this?
A browser-based companion app for the Mooshimeter — a wireless, dual-channel multimeter that connects over Bluetooth Low Energy. This app replaces the mobile app, letting you control and monitor your meter from any desktop with Chrome or Edge.
What can it do?
- Dual-channel measurements — voltage, current, resistance, temperature, and diode testing simultaneously on two channels
- Real-time graphing — live chart with combined, split, or single-channel modes
- Long-duration logging — record 24hr+ sessions to IndexedDB with CSV export
- Math channels — real power, apparent power, power factor, and thermocouple (K/J/T) calculations
- Auto-ranging & continuity — automatic range selection with audible continuity beep
- Serial DMM support — connect 55+ serial multimeters via WebSerial (experimental)
Getting started
- Turn on your Mooshimeter
- Click Connect → Scan & Connect and select your device
- Press Start to begin streaming measurements
Serial DMM Support Experimental
Connect 55+ serial multimeters via the WebSerial API using a USB-serial adapter. Supported protocols:
- Metex 14-byte ASCII — PeakTech, Voltcraft, Digitek, McVoice, and compatible meters
- VC820 / FS9721 — Voltcraft VC-820/840, UNI-T UT-60, Tenma, and compatible 14-byte binary protocol meters
Select your meter model from Connect → Serial DMM. Requires Chrome or Edge with WebSerial support and a compatible USB-serial adapter (CH340, FTDI, CP2102, PL2303).
